Tea – The Cup That Cheers!

India is the world’s Number One producer of quality tea. It is quite simple to identify the finest Indian teas, because they are distinguished by distinctive symbols. These symbols, issued by the Tea Board of India, pinpoint and guarantee the quality and source of the products.

JFK exports three most important varieties of Indian Teas: Darjeeling, Assam and Nilgiris.

Darjeeling Tea

Darjeeling Tea carries the image of a female tea plucker. The tea has a delicate aroma, a muscatel flavour and an exquisite bouquet. Refreshingly soothing, it is best enjoyed with a little milk, or with a slice of lemon or orange.

Assam Tea

Assam Tea, which has a symbol depicting a rhino, is a full-bodied, strong and refreshing tea. An invigorating cup of Assam Tea is the best way to start the day, though it’s equally enjoyable any time of the day or night.

Nilgiris Tea

The Nilgiris (Blue Mountains) Tea is grown on the mist-laden mountain slopes of South India. The winning combination of fragrance and briskness make Nilgiris a truly unique and eminently drinkable tea. The Nilgiris Tea is symbolized by an undulating landscape of hills with two leaves and a bud.
